In 2014, ASM-LINK offered Mentoring Mondays, a tiered mentor training program. Mentoring Mondays is an all-encompassing mentor training resource that blends virtual, interactive, and onsite training to give research investigators and educators tools to become better mentors. The how-to...series consists of three hour-long broadcast webinars, each designed to give researchers practical tips and tools to incorporate mentoring into their research programs. As both leaders in research and mentoring, our experts delivered the how to manual on becoming better mentors, covering topics such as: (1) establishing beneficial mentoring relationships, (2) importance of effective mentoring, and (3) implementing novel mentoring strategies to improve research programs. In addition, creativity experts, Knowinnovation, Ltd., facilitated virtual workshops that offered the latest in innovation and creative problem solving, proven techniques that equip researchers to develop new solutions to common mentoring challenges.
